The second annual Swing into Christmas Benefit Concert for Rowan Helping Ministries will be at the Salisbury Civic Center on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 7-10 p.m.

One of Rowan County’s premiere ensembles, the Salisbury Swing Band will cover classic holiday tunes from 1920s to today. Under the direction of Catawba College’s Dr. Stephen Etters and featuring award-winning vocalist Laura Millspaugh, the 18-piece ensemble will have your toes tapping to the sounds of Gershwin, Sinatra, Count Basie and more!

Admission is $15 at the door and all proceeds directly benefit Rowan Helping Ministries. There will be also be a canned food drive raffle at the door featuring over $300 in local prizes.

Those attendees who bring 15 cans or more will be eligible for a grand prize drawing for a $50 gift card to Longhorn Steakhouse. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success raising $1,300 and more than 1,000 pounds of food.

Light refreshments will be served. For ticket information or questions, email tickets@salisburyswingband.com
