During a recent visit to Trinity Oaks Retirement center on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, the center held an event honoring our veterans. The event was well organized, outdoors, with residents waving American flags as the bands marched into place and favored the crowd with patriotic songs.

The bands from North, South, East, West and Carson high schools are to be commended for a job well done. It is so refreshing to see our young community providing music to honor our military. If you know a member of one of these bands, a chaperone or band instructor, thank them for their contribution. Kudos!
