Kepley ~ Hiatt Wedding

Kaitlyn “Katie” Bethany Kepley of Salisbury and Alexander “Alex” Blake Hiatt of Rockwell were united in marriage Oct. 14, 2017 at the Arbors, Cleveland. The Rev. Mike Shoaf officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony which was followed by an on-site reception at the Arbors.

As the ceremony opened, honorary bridesmaid McKenzie Rivenbark presented a tribute to the bride’s late father, Gary W. Kepley. The bride acknowledged her dad with a white rose in his memory.

Following the processional of the wedding party, the bride, accompanied by her brother, Brett Goodman, walked down the aisle to the bagpipe music of Piper Drew Barkley. The piper also played as Mr. and Mrs. Hiatt began the recessional.

Attending her as matron of honor was her sister, Stacey Burrell of Gold Hill. Bridesmaids were Landynn Hinson, niece of the bride; Karcen Bowers, special friend of the bride; Emily Hiatt, sister of the groom; and Mackenzie Dixon, sister of the groom.

Best man was father of the groom, Jeff Hiatt of Salisbury. Groomsmen were Brandon Hiatt, brother of the groom, of High Point; Levi Dixon, brother of the groom, of Salisbury; Josh Rogers of Salisbury; and Shane Robbins of Raleigh.

Flower girl was Paisley Lanning of Salisbury. Brody Hiatt of High Point served as ring bearer. Honorary bridesmaids were Mckenzie Rivenbark of Salisbury; Brittany Hiatt of High Point; and Leila Grace Clontz of Troutman.

The bride is the daughter of the late Gary W. Kepley of Salisbury and Gail Drury and  step-father, Terry Drury of Salisbury and the granddaughter of the late Roy and “Biddie” Drury of Mt. Ulla and the late Garner and Bertha Kepley of Salisbury. A 2011 graduate of East Rowan High School, Katie received her degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015. She is employed by Henkel Chemical Products.

The groom is the son of Jeff Hiatt and step-mother Tina of Salisbury and Lisa Dixon and step-father David of Salisbury and the grandson of the late P.D. and Faye McKinney of Salisbury and Bill Hiatt and step-grandmother Janet Hiatt of Marion. A 2005 graduate of West Rowan High School, Alex is employed with Azko Nobel.

After a wedding trip to the Carribbean, the couple will reside in Rockwell.
