Carl Eugene Miller Jr. and Sallie Green Miller of Rockwell, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 16, 2017. Their family is planning a summer trip to celebrate.

The Millers were united in marriage Sept. 16, 1967, in York, S.C. Carl retired from the VA Medical Center and Sallie retired from Rowan Regional Medical Center.

The couple have two sons, Dr. Carl “Three” Eugene Miller III and wife Catherine of Hays, Kansas and Joseph “Joe” Paul Miller and wife Kristen of Salisbury. They also have three granddaughters, Brenna Michele Miller, Sophia Elizabeth Miller, and Martha Eliza Miller.
