Rowan weather: Are you ready for some frost?

North Carolina weather is full of surprises. Last week, it was hot, like summer. This week, we’ll be cranking up the heat and preparing for a frost.

Today will be sunny and 64 with northeast wind at 5-9 mph, a beautiful day.

Expect patchy frost after 3 a.m. It will be a clear night with a low of 37 and calm wind. Frost advisories may be issued.

The frost will linger until around 9 a.m. Wednesday. It will be a sunny day with a high of 69 and calm wind in the morning; northeast winds pick up in the afternoon to 5-7 mph. The low will be around 40, with no wind.

Patchy frost is possible again Thursday morning until 8 a.m. It will be sunny again, with a high of 73. The low will be 44 under clear skies.

Friday will be sunny and 76, with a low of 47.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and 75, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 50.

Sunday will be partly sunny and 75. The low will be 56, with mostly cloudy skies.

A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible Monday, which will be mostly cloudy and 74.
