• Masons of Cannon Memorial Lodge will present Kannapolis Police Chief Chavis and his officers a certificate of appreciation, 10 a.m. today. Muffins and coffee. Open to public.
• Fish fry and hot dog sale, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. today, White Rock AME Zion Church. Fish sandwiches $5, plates $8, hot dogs $2, with chips and drink $3. Takeout available.
