Letter: Beliefs vs. rights
I refer to Teresa Rowell’ s letter (“No, I won’t stand in the hallway while commissioners pray,” in Sunday’s Post).
Do you think that just because you are a non-Christian that the county commissioners are going to quit praying? You are in the minority when it comes to Christians vs non-Christians. Just because you pay your taxes on time, vote, stay informed, volunteer, etc., does not give you the right to make demands on other citizens.
And maybe you should stand in the hall because you are behaving like a poorly behaved child. There are a lot of other countries you can take your non-Christian self and see how far you get with them and your demands.
