Lee Street theatre opens ‘Mothers and Sons’ tonight

‘Mothers and Sons’ is a touching play about what happens when a strained relationship between a mother and son is reconciled too late. Andy Rassler directs this poignant and complex tale of forgiveness, hope, and evolution of thought as one generation comes to terms with the world’s perpetual tendency to evolve with the passage of time.

Catawba College Blue Masque Theater presents ‘The Conference of the Birds’

Based on a 12th century Sufi poem considered to be a literary masterpiece, this adaptation tells the mythical story through traditional and non-traditional styles of theatre including dance, puppetry and shadow play.
