Rowan weather: Another day of rain and wind

Irma is one big storm, and even though she’s been downgraded to a tropical depression, she’s still dragging plenty of rain along with her.

Today we have an 80 percent chance of showers before  3 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms. with patchy fog throughout the day. It will be 74 under mostly cloudy skies, with east wind at 9-17 mph and gusts as high as 26 mph. A quarter to half inch of rain is possible.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms drops to 30 percent tonight, with patchy fog forming after 3 a.m. The low will be 60, with southeast wind calming after midnight. Less than a tenth of in inch is expected tonight as Irma leaves the area, finally.

Wednesday will be partly cloudy and warmer, with a high of 78 and south southwest winds at 5-9 mph in the afternoon.

A 20 percent chance of showers moves in Wednesday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 63. South wind will be around 5 mph. 

Thursday has a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 11 a.m. It will be partly sunny and 78, with southwest wind at 3-7 mph. And Thursday night has a 20 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 61.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 80; the low will be 62.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with a high of 82. The low will be 62 with partly cloudy skies.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and 82 again, with a low of 62 again.

And Monday should be mostly sunny with a high of 83.
