NC Supreme Court Justice to speak to Rowan Democrats

Mike Morgan, an associate justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, will be the speaker at the Rowan County Democratic Party breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Breakfast will be served starting at 9:15 at party headquarters, 1504 W. Innes St. Donations of $10 are requested. All are invited.
Morgan was elected in November 2016 after defeating incumbent Robert Edmunds. He received the highest vote total of any registered Democrat in Rowan County in that election.
Before his election, he served as a Wake County Superior Court judge for 10 years. Before that, he was a District Court judge for 10 years.
All told, he has served as a judge for 27 years.
Morgan also served on the faculty of the National Judicial College for 24 years, teaching judges how to be better judges.
