Rowan weather: Warm day, with showers, storms tonight

Today will be our last day in the 80s for a bit, as a cool front moves in.

It will be sunny and 85, with south southwest wind at 8-13 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. After 2 p.m., we have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Tonight, the chance of showers and storms goes up to 50 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 66. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. Winds will be west southwest at 3-7 mph.

Showers are likely Wednesday, with a 70 percent chance of rain and possible thunderstorms. Some of the storms could become severe. It will be cloudy and 73 with north northwest wind at 5-7 mph. A quarter to half inch of rain is possible.

The chance of showers drops to 30 percent Wednesday night, with rain mostly before 8 p.m. It will be cloudy and 54, with north northwest wind at 3-5 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Thursday will be a little taste of fall, with sunny skies and a high of 74. North northwest wind will be at 3-7 mph. It will be a clear and cool night with a low of 53.

Friday will be gorgeous, too, sunny, with a high of 76. The low will be 54.

Saturday will be sunny and 75, with a low of 55.

Sunday will be sunny and 74, then a 30 percent chance of showers moves in Sunday night, with a low of 58.

On Monday, expect a 50 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies and a high of 73.
