Letter: Learn from history

At least half of this country is nuts — where did they come from?

What I hear coming out of my TV makes me think they have been dropped off by out-of-this-world aliens.

My neighbors are not like that. I haven’t seen anything like that in the streets of our city — for that, I thank my God.

Their purpose, as presented by the media, along with their own spoken words, seems to be to destroy everything that this great nation is built on, and they are using the very history of our country to divide us and to keep the fire of hatred and prejudice ignited that brought about the things that they themselves are trying to erase from history.

History is a great tool of learning made of the good and the bad. The greatest lessons come from life experiences passed on by those who have lived through them, but how will it be passed on if there is nothing left to remind them?
