The Salisbury-based band 9daytrip has won the Carolina Music Awards under the Americana genre. The awards took place in Raleigh on Aug. 5.

9daytrip recently performed at the Hopkinsville, Ky. solar eclipse weekend event. Hopkinsville was the centerpoint of the eclipse.
The group has just released their newest single “9 Day Trip.” Members include Shelby Stover – vocals/guitar; Chad Butler – vocals/guitar; Terry Moore – bass guitar; Emanuel Wynter – violin; Antonio Brown – drums.
