Gealy 50th Anniversary

Sam and Judy (Adams) Gealy celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017.

The couple was married in Raleigh at the First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. William McCorkle on Aug. 19, 1967. Sam retired from the Rowan-Salisbury School System in 1998 and is currently the men’s and women’s golf coach at Catawba College. Judy also retired from the Rowan-Salisbury School System in 1997 and is an avid bridge player.

The couple have two children, Todd (Sara), who teaches at the International Community School in Bangkok, Thailand, and Elliot (Julie), the golf coach at Lenoir Rhyne University. They have five grandchildren, Will (9), Samantha (6) and Max (3) in Thailand and Catherine (10) and Ethan (5) in Statesville.

The couple recently celebrated their anniversary with a cruise to Alaska.
