Editor’s note: The writer is responding to an Aug. 16 article, “Speaker ruled out of order at City Council meeting.”

I found the events of the Aug. 15 City Council meeting very disturbing. It was hard to believe that the mayor would treat a grown woman like a child. Carolyn Logan was not out of line and repeatedly asked what for clarification.

The problem is that this is not the first time citizens have observed this behavior, and it doesn’t look good to see this from a city leader. Carolyn has repeatedly expressed her concern for the safety for the elderly, the disabled, children and innocent people.

Why is it that she is so disrespected when she makes the mayor uncomfortable? There is no excuse for that behavior and it is totally unacceptable.
