Today will be mostly sunny and 92, with heat index values around 100-102 degrees. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms moves in after 3 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe, with damaging winds and frequent lightning.
Wind will become southwest at 5-8 mph in the afternoon. A tenth of an inch of rain is possible, except higher in thunderstorms.
