Rockwell native Matt Slingerland competed in Saturday’s STIHL Timbersports U.S. Championship in Milwaukee. The top lumberjack athletes in the country competed in thrilling axing, chopping and sawing competitions in front of thousands of fans at Milwaukee German Fest. Slingerland, 26, finished in third place after finishing the stock saw at 10.39 seconds.
