Otto ~ Davis Wedding

Lakeshia C. Otto and Justin S. Davis of Salisbury were united in marriage Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Omwake Dearborn Chapel at Catawba College in Salisbury.

Rev. Dr. Earl C. Johnson officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Livingstone College School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.

The bride was escorted by her uncle, Mr. Raymond Cannonier Jr., and attended by Ms. Ebony O’Neal of Salisbury as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included the bride’s sister, Ms. Helen Rene of Durham, Ms. Jenell Bryan of Bronx, N.Y., Ms. Ashley Ambrose of Raleigh, Ms. Cassandra Mason and Ms. Ria Sweeney, both of Salisbury.

The groom’s brother, Mr. Benjamin Davis Jr., of Kannapolis, served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were the groom’s brother Mr. Jason S. Davis of Dacula, Ga., the bride’s brother Mr. Lachesnaye Otto Jr. of Durham, Mr. Ronnie Cutherbertson Jr. of Greenville, Mr. Ryan Neely of Durham, Mr. Titus Vinson of Salisbury, Mr. Issiah Q. Davis of Dacula, Ga., and Mr. Shahid Cobb of St. Croix, Virgin Islands.

Little Miss Jurnee S. Davis and little Miss Ariah J. Davis of Dacula, Ga., served as flower girls. Master Landon Bryan of Bronx, N.Y., served as ring bearer.

Guest registrars and other attendants included Mrs. Vincia Benjamin-Miller, Mrs. Alice Suber, Ms. Kelli R. Johnson, Ms. Kristen S. Johnson, little Miss Joi S. Davis, Ms. Jada Holloway, and Ms. Phylicia Robinson.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Mary Cannonier of Durham and Mr. Lachesnaye Otto Sr. of Norfolk, Va., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cannonier Sr. of St. Kitts, West Indies. A 2006 graduate of Hillside High School in Durham, Lakeshia graduated magna cum laude from Livingstone College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is currently employed at the Rowan County Department of Social Services.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin and Suzette Davis Sr. of Salisbury. A 2000 graduate of West Rowan High School, Justin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Theatre Arts from Western Carolina University in 2005. He is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and an All-Conference Star in Track and Field while attending Western Carolina University. He is currently the Head Track and Field and Cross Country Coach at Livingstone College.

Following a seven day Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Cruise Line, the couple are making their home in Salisbury.
