Home Builders Association awards scholarships

The Salisbury-Rowan Home Builders Association has awarded six scholarships for the 2017 year.
The association awards scholarships to students who are in a construction-related field of study. This year, the home builders association awarded $4,500 in scholarships.
The winners are:
• Dawson Larrimore of South Rowan High School, who will study mechanical engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
• Paul McNeely, who is studying mechanical engineering at N.C. State University.
• Sam McNeely, who is studying civil engineering at N.C. State.
• Miguel Miller of Carson High School, who will study engineering at UNC-Charlotte.
• Conrad Shugart of East Rowan High School, who will study engineering at UNC-Charlotte.
• Steven Thurston of North Rowan High School, who will study business administration at Averitt University.
