Hunter Graduation

Kaylin Kirby Hunter graduated from both Elon University and Gonzaga University. Kaylin finished a five-year dual-degree program, graduating cum laude from Elon University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Political Science and also graduating from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

While at Elon, Kaylin was secretary of the Engineering Club and Elon’s chapter of Engineering World Health, participated in the LEAD program, Invisible Children, and the STEM Learning community, and studied abroad in Ireland for Winter Term 2013.

At Gonzaga, Kaylin participated in IEEE events and helped plan a SPAx conference. Throughout her time in college, Kaylin held various part-time jobs, including an internship with a power company and coordinating the 3-D printer at Elon, among other things. Kaylin also completed a research program through the National Science Foundation at Texas State University titled “Design and Verification of IoT Systems.”

She married Travis Elliott on June 3, 2017, and has accepted a position as a Software Solutions Analyst with Avanade in Denver, Colo., starting in July.

Kaylin is the daughter of Gerald and Linda Hunter of Woodleaf and the granddaughter of William and Kay Hunter of Woodleaf and John and the late Joanne Duda of New Castle, Pa.
