    Bookmarks Presents Craig Johnson: A Longmire Murder Mystery
    Bookmarks will host an interactive Longmire Murder Mystery featuring Craig Johnson, the acclaimed author of the Walt Longmire series. He will be on tour for his newest book, The Highwayman: A Longmire Story, which will be out in paperback in May. The evening will revolve around a script based on key characters in the Longmire series. Throughout the event, characters will interact with guests—all of whom will be suspects and detectives.  Radio Personality JR Snyder will star as Walt Longmire and MC for the night!  Event begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, and Craig Johnson will speak during dinner. Dinner will be provided by California Fresh Catering, with wine by Raffaldini Vineyards. The Murder Mystery will follow.     Friday May 5th, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Saturday, May 6th, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday, May 8th, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
    Most items $2.00 or less.  Find great bargains at RPL’s annual book sale. On Saturday, May 6th, teachers can fill up a box for $5 with proof of ID (license or school ID).  On Monday, May 8th, anyone can fill a box for $1.00.

  • Genealogy Class: Searching in Europe
    Saturday, May 13th at 10:00 am
    This event, co-hosted by the Genealogical Society of Rowan County and the History Room of RPL, is free and open to the public. This class explores the resources that are available to access records in European countries.  We will also discuss idiosyncrasies of culture that might create difficulties in researching certain areas.   • Sustainability Book Club hosted by Bread Riot, second Thursdays 6:30 pm -8 pm at South Main Book Co., Salisbury
  • College, Career, and Coffee Book Club – Adult book club program at the Statesville branch of the Iredell County Public Library. The first Thursday of every month, we gather together to discuss the books we have read dealing with a particular theme. Instead of everyone reading the same book, we are able to read according to our preferences within a general topic.
