Childress, Robbins lead Carolinas Four-Ball Championship

CAMDEN, S.C. — After Wednesday’s first round, Salisbury’s Michael Childress and his Cannon School teammate Lansdon Robbins lead the 66th annual Carolinas Four-Ball Championship at Camden Country Club.
Childress and Robbins shot a 9-under par 61 yesterday to lead 57 other two-man teams. Two teams trail by two shots with 63s. The tournament concludes today.
Childress and Robbins made nine birdies during their round, including finishing with five straight, to card a cool 28 on the back nine. The duo also had nine pars on the day and no bogeys.
