KANNAPOLIS – Redevelopment, new neighborhoods, road improvements and economic development initiatives are bringing opportunities for residents of Kannapolis.

To help ensure that the city is planning for growth, Move Kannapolis Forward will provide a community-driven process to update the city’s comprehensive development plan with residents’ input.

A Move Kannapolis Forward Summit is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Kannapolis City Hall. It will include interactive sessions for residents to give input.

The Move Kannapolis Forward process will set long-range goals and policies for transportation, housing, development, the environment, the economy and public services. It will serve to coordinate existing, ongoing and future development projects.
