Dogwood a success

We had a very successful tournament with attendance higher overall than last year.

I thank all of you who contributed food and labor. I am especially thankful for the work of Nancy Brandt managing the kitchen, allowing me to play some in the event. She has done a great job.

Congratulations to Pat Macon who won the Bob Lemon Award for the NLM who earned the most points in the tournament.

Congratulations too to Bill Wisdom, our well known national bridge player, for again winning the Wallace Trophy for most points won over all at the Dogwood.

I am so proud of all of our newer players who participated in the tournament and won points. I hope you will continue to go to tournaments to pursue the elusive master points, and have caught the “duplicate fever.” We are so happy to have you all included in our games. New players are our future  and each of you will keep improving to become good, steady players.
