SALISBURY — Two East Spencer women sold and delivered crack cocaine to an undercover officer, police said.

The women were stopped inside a vehicle, where the drugs were found.

Salisbury police charged Wendy Lynn Shutt, 33, of the 100 block of Spencer Street, with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled Schedule II substance and Chioma Ada Nwafor, also 33, of the 200 block of Grant Street, Apartment 100, with felony attempt and conspiracy and misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substances.

Authorities said the officer ordered the drugs from Shutt and she contacted Chioma Nwafor. The two women delivered 2.1 grams of crack cocaine, referred to by police as an eight-ball because of its size.

Shutt remains in the Rowan County jail under a $20,000 secured bond. Nwafor was released under a $20,000 secured bond.

Shutt has been convicted of misdemeanor offenses of larceny, prostitution and attempted carrying a concealed weapon, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety. Nwafor has no criminal record listed with DPS.
