Two of the Rowan County Republican Party’s biggest events will be on March 4.

Early in the day, the local party will hold its convention and precinct meetings. In the evening, the party will have its annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner.

The convention and precinct meetings will include the election of the local party leadership and start with registration from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. No one will be admitted after 9:30 a.m. The event will be in the County Administration Building — 130 West Innes Street.

The fee to attend is $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Any Rowan County resident who was a registered Republican on or before Jan. 31 may attend.

Positions elected during the convention and precinct meetings will include: executive committee officers, at-large executive committee members, precinct chairs and precinct vice-chairs.

Sponsored by Bill and Shari Graham, the Rowan County Lincoln-Reagan Dinner will be at The Event Center at 315 Webb Road in Salisbury. Featured speakers will include Reps. Richard Hudson, R-8, and Ted Budd, R-13. Hudson and Budd will share personal stories, experiences in Congress and working under President Donald J. Trump.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

The event will include a silent auction, special entertainment and the presentation of the colors by the award-winning Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard. The Lincoln-Reagan Dinner will also include the passing of the gavel to a new chairman and board for the Rowan County Republican Party.
