Rowan weather: Another very windy day

The main feature of today’s weather will be the wind, blowing at 14-17 mph, and gusting up to 31 mph from the northwest.

The wind has ushered in much cooler air, with the temperature dropping this morning from the 50s into the mid-40s. It will gradually become sunny today, with a high of 48.

Tonight will be clear, cold and still windy. The low will be 23 degrees, with northwest wind at 8-13 mph, gusting up to 23 mph.

Friday, we get a break from the wind, with south southwest breezes in the afternoon around 5-9 mph. The high will be 49 under mostly sunny skies. The low will be 36, with south southwest wind at 7-10 mph.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with a high of 67. Southwest wind will blow at 8-10 mph. The low will be 50.

It’s back to spring for Sunday, with a high of 72 and mostly sunny skies. The low will be 49.

Monday will be mostly sunny again, with a high of 64 and a low of 40.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 58. A 30 percent chance of showers moves in Tuesday night, with a low of 39.

The same chance of rain is possible Wednesday, with a high of 56.
