Rowan weather: Warm and windy

Totally different start today — it’s 51 degrees and we’ll reach a high of 69.

It will be mostly cloudy, though, and south southwest winds will blow at 6-15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Tonight brings a 40 percent chance of showers, mainly between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. Patchy fog is possible after 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a warm low of 53 and south southwest wind at 7-9 mph.

Wednesday has a 20 percent chance of showers before 2 p.m., and will be mostly cloudy again, with a high of 67. Southwest wind will blow at 6-9 mph.

Wednesday night could bring trouble, with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could become severe, with damaging winds the main threat. The low will be 47, with south southwest wind at 5-8 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Sun returns Thursday, but it will be cooler, with a high of 54. Winds will shift to the northwest at 7-16 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph. Thursday night will be clear and cold, with a low of 25.

Friday will be mostly sunny again, with a high of 49. The low will be 36.

Warmer again Saturday, with a high of 60 under mostly sunny skies. Saturday night’s low will be 48.

Sunday will be partly sunny and 70, with a low of 49.

And Monday will be mostly sunny and 63.
