Give thanks for keeping America safe and strong
If you are reading this letter, you’re strongly encouraged to take a few minutes to write our president, our senators and our congressmen to thank them for keeping their promise to help make America safe and strong again.
In spite of the protestors who are allowed to exercise their freedom of speech regardless of our political affiliations, all Americans should be grateful that our leaders in Washington, D.C. have kept their promise and taken the initiative to help keep ISIS and other terorist groups from invading our country.
Although certain miniority groups will continue to second-guess and criticize our elected leaders, all Americans should give our leadership the support they need to enforce those policies which they feel are in the absolute best interst of our country and the safety of our citizens.
Althougth not reported by several media sources, it may be very important to understand that while only several hundred refugees were detained over 400,000 other immigrants and foreigners were allowed to freely enter the United States during this same time at international airports around the country.
Even if this new vetting policy saves only one human life from terrorist acvitity, which may otherwise go undetected, it is well worth the effort and inconvenience of all the millions of persons wishing to come to America. May God always bless America.

Praise God for nation’s new elected officials
“Come let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.” (Nehemiah 2:11-18)
It is time for the opposition Democrats and protesters to realize they are releasing a strong message to America and the world — that they and their long-term, career, political government jobs are at risk for future elections. They are at risk because of the response that careers come ahead of the suffering American citizens and taxpayers.
Civitans have a great program called “Service Above Self.” It is held at Catawba College each year. I am amazed and encouraged by the elementary, middle and high school students who participate and receive reward certificates for their community service.
The program raises hundreds or thousands of dollars for needs. Examples include: schools, families, the sick, St. Jude’s hospitals, elderly, Rowan Helping Ministries, overseeing the needy and personal services.
This is our true America — what we all need to be about — that should replace hate crimes, protesting, being self-centered, entitlements and more.
Remember when the movement “What Would Jesus Do?” was very powerful, popular and meaningful for the times. Current government employees have been enjoying their long-term jobs and comfort zones as compliments of the American taxpayers.
God’s promises are true — “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5) When are we going to learn from our failures so we can have success according to God’s will and plan for us?
Dr. Ben Carson, the new Housing and Urban Development secretary, commented on Fox News: “all we Americans need is a good dose of God.”
Praise God for our new government officials who are willing to take risks, and make sacrifices that result in drastic changes in their lives to help correct failures in previous administrations.
