Health fair coming to Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church

Aristotle said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” That is a fancy way of saying that when things (or organizations) combine forces, the impact is greater than what they could accomplish by working alone. This is what is happening at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church on Feb. 8 from 5-7 p.m.

The Bible says that one way Jesus shows that the Kingdom of God is near is by restoring health to the lives of those he meets. As a congregation in eastern Rowan County, Saint Peter’s also knows that many of our neighbors are in need of health assistance but cannot access it. To better serve our neighbors, Saint Peter’s is hosting a Health Fair. A variety of services will be available: everything from cholesterol tests to smoking cessation to dental screenings (and many more).

This Health Fair is made possible through generous partners. There is simply no way that this event would be possible without the participation of the Community Care Clinic (Salisbury), Novant Health, Rowan County Public Health, and the Saleeby-Fisher YMCA (Rockwell). The members of this partnership are excited to bring tools for a healthier lifestyle to eastern Rowan County. Feb. 8 from 5-7 p.m. Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church, 2570 Saint Peters Church Road, 704-279-5054saintpeterslc.org
