WINSTON-SALEM — Bookmarks is presenting author James Rollins on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Salem Visitor Center at 900 Old Salem Road in Winston-Salem. This program is part of Rollins’s Seventh Plague Tour and is free and open to the public.

Rollins is the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of international thrillers, translated into more than 40 languages. His Sigma series has been lauded as one of the “top crowd pleasers” by The New York Times and one of the “hottest summer reads” by People Magazine.

In each novel, acclaimed for its originality, Rollins unveils unseen worlds, scientific breakthroughs and historical secrets. His hands-on knowledge from his career in veterinary medicine helps shape the research and scientific speculation that set James Rollins’ books apart.

During the event, Rollins will speak about his books, answer questions, and sign books. Bookmarks will sell books on site, with all proceeds benefitting the nonprofit.

Rollins is the author of 10 thrillers in the bestselling Sigma Force series (including “Sandstorm,” “The Doomsday Key,” “The Last Oracle” and “Bloodline”), six individual thrillers, two middle grade adventures in the Jake Ransom series, and writes with Grant Blackwood in the Tucker Wayne series adventures and with Rebecca Cantrell in the Sanguines series.

Dinner options from popular local restaurant, The Porch, Kitchen & Cantina, will be available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m.

Bookmarks is a literary arts nonprofit organization that fosters a love of reading and writing in the community. Programming connects readers with authors and books and is achieved through the largest annual book festival in North and South Carolina, an Authors in Schools program, which reaches 7,000 students annually, and year-round events in our gathering space and nonprofit independent bookstore.
