Award time
Once again it is time to acknowledge the players who have excelled during the previous year.
The June Evans award is given to the Non-Life Master who earned the most points in our local games. June was a 30+ year player at the Tuesday night Women’s Club game and who wanted to encourage new players. This year, as last, the winner, in a very close field, is Fern Albracht.
The other award, also in honor of a long standing Women’s Club player, is the Phil Sowers award. It is given to the player who earned the most points overall in the Salisbury games. This years’ winner is Dick Brisbin. Congratulations to you. We look forward to seeing and playing with and against you both in the coming years.
Our Friday Evergreen game continues to grow. It is a friendly and fun game with, as Billy Burke would say, keen competition. We are always challenged.
The Jan. 13 winners were: N/S 1st Toni Iossi and Beth Shafer; 2nd Fern Albracht and Ron Jeffers; 3rd Georgia Sorensen and Shirley Jeffers;
E/W 1st Betty Bills and BettyBonner Steele; 2nd Carol Bachl and Judy Gealy; 3rd Chuck and Margaret Rimer.
Our featured board is #18 from this game.
