Story about Trump was more opinion than news

The article about President-elect Donald Trump on the front page Monday (“In Trump, man elected by Americans is president they’ll get”) was not a “news” article. It was an opinion article and should have been on the opinion page. This is an example of how most “news,” from all mediums, is reported or delivered today from an opinionated side. It is up to the reader to attempt to pull out the facts of the story.

Like it or not, Mr. Trump is going to be our president, and he deserves a chance to prove to us that he is up to the job and what he will do. I am like many Americans who say that Mr. Trump was not their first choice, but as the election campaign progressed we saw a lot of good in what he was trying to accomplish. There is much more good in his “Make America Great Again” ideas than bad. We must allow him a chance to try to make it happen.

We also must be smart enough to filter out the opinions and prejudice from the so called “news” we are provided.
