Martin Luther King Jr. Day closings

SALISBURY — Most government offices and banks are closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, but city buses will run and parks will be open.
Schools and banks will be closed, and the Postal Service will not deliver mail.
Offices at the Salisbury Post will be closed.

Salisbury
The city of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule Monday:
- City office buildings, including the Salisbury Customer Service Center and recreation centers, will be closed.
- The Solid Waste Division will offer garbage and recycling collection on schedule.
- The Street Division will not offer limb or leaf collection on Monday; collection will resume Tuesday.
- Salisbury Transit will offer regular transit services on Monday.
- Fibrant Technical Support will maintain regular hours. For assistance, customers may contact Fibrant Technical Support by calling 704-638-5300.
- Salisbury Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will be closed Monday. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, please call 704-638-5339.
- The Salisbury Community Park will operate on schedule from 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Rowan County
- All county offices, including recycling centers and the landfill, will be closed on Monday.
Kannapolis
The City of Kannapolis’ offices will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday. There will be no delay in garbage, recycling or yard debris collection.
Other municipalities
• Town offices in China Grove, Cleveland, Granite Quarry, East Spencer, Rockwell and Spencer will be closed. Spencer trash service will be a day late.
