Correction
Salisbury Police Chief Jerry Stokes said in a November press conference that preliminary reports indicated police shot Ferguson Laurent Jr. several times after he shot at them during the serving of a no-knock search warrant. An autopsy report released last week supports that account. An editorial in Saturday’s Post erroneously said police indicated only one or two shots were fired, and that an autopsy report contradicted police accounts. The Post regrets the errors.
