Rowan weather: Sunny, cold, windy

We’ll see plenty of sunshine today, but it will be chilly, made worse by west northwest winds at 8-17 mph, with gusts up to 29 mph.

Tonight will be clear, too, and cold, with a low of 24. West wind around 5 mph will calm in the evening.

Saturday will bring increasing clouds, with a high of 49. Light south wind will become south southwest at 5-10 mph in the morning. Saturday night will be cloudy with a low of 40. A 20 percent chance of rain moves in after 2 a.m. South southwest wind at 5-7 mph will calm after midnight.

New Year’s Day brings a 50 percent chance of rain. It will be cloudy with a high near 50. The chance of rain goes up to 70 percent Sunday night, and the low will be 45.

Monday brings an 80 percent chance of rain before 8 a.m., then showers between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., then rain after 4. The high will be 57. The same chance of rain and showers continues Monday night, with a low of 51.

Tuesday’s chance of rain drops to 40 percent, with showers in the morning and rain in the afternoon. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 65. No rain in the forecast for Tuesday night, with a low of 49.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high of 63, then a 30 percent chance of rain moves in Wednesday night, with a low of 41.

Thursday will also have a 30 percent chance of rain, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 50.
