• Annual children’s Christmas party at JC Price Post 107, 5-9 p.m. Dec. 21: Santa Claus, door prizes, Sweet Frogs and food, for children age 13 and under with parents. JC Price American Legion, 1433 Old Wilkesboro Road, sponsored by the Children and Youth Committee, with Ladies’ Auxiliary.

• Christmas services are Friday at Erwin Temple CME, 155 Erwin Temple Church Road, beginning at 7 p.m. Order of services will remain the same. All three choirs will participate as one. Attendees are requested to wear red and black.
