The Salisbury Fire Department is advising that Norfolk Southern Railroad will do maintenance at a number of rail crossings in the city.

The time of the closing and the period of time the crossing will be closed have not been released. Detour routes will be open and motorists will have to follow signs for the route.

Henderson Street will be closed today for prep work. North Main Street will be closed Wednesday for the same work.

The other locations can be closed any day beginning Wednesday or any day after until construction is completed. There will be no notice of the actual days or times. Most locations will likely be closed for the entire day. Some locations will be closed multiple days.

Look for closings on:

• Brenner Avenue

• Old West Innes Street

• North Fulton Street

• North Church Street

• North Main Street

• North Lee Street

• East Henderson Street.
