SALISBURY — Police say the community can help determine the identity of a man who they believe died after he fell off his bicycle this weekend. The man, who appeared to be in his 40s, did not have any identification, officials said.

A passerby found the white male in the 1400 block of North Jackson Street around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, said Police Capt. Shelia Lingle.

Investigators do not suspect foul play, but believe since the bike’s brake handle was compressed and the man was found not far from the bicycle, his death was a result of a fall.

He has a short salt and pepper colored beard, shoulder length dark hair, six feet tall and about 170 pounds. Police say the man was wearing a black shirt, light gray jacket and black jogging pants. He was wearing tennis shoes.

The Trek bike he was riding was black.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this man is asked to contact the Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333.
