More Rowan livestock winners from the State Fair

With close to 600 entries in the N.C. State Fair exhibited from Rowan County, we are still trying to get all of the results together. We had multiple Grand Champions to come back to Rowan County. As promised, here are some more results of Rowan County youth and livestock producers’ successful week at the N.C State Fair.

Several Rowan County youth in the dairy goat show competed in showmanship with very successful placings. Grayce Moore won first place in her showmanship class. Madison Noble won first place in intermediate showmanship and Jackson Noble won first place in senior showmanship.

Competing in the youth show, J&M Hideaway Desert Mirage won Junior Champion and J&M Hideaway WWS Wildwest Riot won Reserve Junior Champion. J&M Hideaway Farm Desert Rose won Senior Grand Champion and J&M Hideaway Farm Justice won Senior Reserve Champion. J&M Hideaway Farm also won Best Doe in Show and Madison Noble won Reserve Premier Youth Exhibitor.

J&M Hideaway Farms did well in the open show. J&M Hideaway Legacy won Reserve Junior Champion. J&M Hideaway Farm Patriot was Grand Champion and J&M Hideaway Parsley won Reserve Grand Champion. J&M Hideaway Farm Desert Rose won Best of Breed, Best Doe in Show, and Best Udder in Show. J&M Hideaway Farms also won first place Nubian Herd, Premier Nubian Breeder and Exhibitor Banner.

Cool Springs Farm won Grand Champion Junior Record Grade Doe. She also won Best Junior Doe in Show. Cool Springs also won first place Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Herd out of 16 herds. Grayce and Kaitlyn Moore also won first place for most creative costume.

Sarah Moore won Reserve champion Nigerian Junior Doe and Reserve Champion Nigerian Senior Doe.

Victoria Roberts had Best Female: Large Breed and Reserve Champion Poultry, in the Youth Poultry Show.

Two local youth brought home reserve champions in the open dairy cattle show. Lauren Luther won Reserve Junior Champion in the Jersey Show. Colby Menius won Reserve Grand Champion Jersey in the Junior Show and won his showmanship class.
