Local students review ‘The Boxcar Children’

Local elementary schools got a preview of the Norvell Theater’s production of “The Boxcar Children” this week. The play is produced in partnership with Salisbury Academy.

Enochville Elementary, second grade:

My favorite character in “The Boxcar Children” was Jessie because she is smart like me when it comes up to things like math and reading and books. My favorite part of “The Boxcar Children” was when the lawn mower came out because the sound was cool! -Carly

I give “The Boxcar Children” two thumbs up. I think the four characters that played the children are really good. I think that the props were really good and I especially liked the boxcar. I also loved the lighting a lot! – CJ

I give “The Boxcar Children” five out of five stars because I think the actors were great in the play and the costumes looked real. The setting looked like I was in the play. -Joey

I give “The Boxcar Children” five out of five stars because the their acting and their clothes. I really liked the play and everything about it. I sat in the back and I know I saw everything perfectly! Sawyer

I gave “The Boxcar Children” a 10 out of 10 stars rating because I liked the boxcar. It had seats at the bottom of it and it had an office at the top where the police was.  –Kyson

I liked everything about the play! Violet and Jesse were my favorite because one was a good cook and the other was a good sister. You have to go see it!Reese B.
