What spooky drink will light up your Halloween?

Here are a few frightful cocktails to get you through next week, or beyond.

Candy-Corn Infused Vodka

1 (750 ml) bottle inexpensive vodka

1 cup candy corn

Pour the entire bottle of vodka and the cup of candy corn into an airtight container. Shake and let sit 3 to 4 hours to infuse, Strain, rebottle and chill before using.

Then try:

Candy Corn Cocktail

2 oz. candy corn-infused vodka

.75 oz. orange liqueur

.5 oz. lime juice

Add all ingredients to  cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled and strain into a martini glass rimmed with crushed candy corn.

This one will come in handy while you sit in the pumpkin patch with Linus waiting for The Great Pumpkin.

Pumpkin Toddy

1 oz. apple brandy

.5 oz. rye whiskey

.5 oz. lemon juice

.5 oz. grade B maple syrup

1 tsp. pumpkin puree

2 dashes Angostura bitters

5 oz. boiling water

Add all ingredients except the water to a preheated mug.

Top with boiling water and stir to combine.

Top with grated cinnamon.

This one was often used as a hair-of-the-dog hangover relief, so if you party too much on Halloween, this could come in handy. Or, you can just enjoy without a hangover.

Corpse Reviver

1 oz. Cognac

1 oz. Calvados

.5 oz. sweet vermouth

Add all ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.
