Humane Society spaghetti fundraiser is Friday

SALISBURY — The Humane Society of Rowan County will hold its annual Fall Spaghetti Fundraiser Friday at VFW Post 3006, 1200 Brenner Ave.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Carry-outs are available, as well as deliveries of five or more meals to a workplace.

Delivery orders should be called to 704-636-5700 any time between now and 10 a.m. Friday. Cost of the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

A raffle including gift cards for pet services and a half-and-half raffle will be held during the fundraiser. Pet Halloween costumes will be available on a donation basis, and T-shirts, magnets and other HSRC promotional items will be available for sale. Donations for the organization’s Pet Food Bank will be accepted at the door. The food bank particularly needs cat food and cat litter.

Volunteers are needed to work the meal assembly line, dining room and delivery service at lunch and at dinner. To volunteer or to donate a homemade dessert, call 704-636-5700 or email humanesocietyofrowancounty@windstream.net.

The Humane Society of Rowan County is a nonprofit volunteer animal welfare organization founded in 1973. It is funded solely by donations and fundraisers and receives no funding from any other animal welfare organization or government entity.
