Rowan weather: Summer has returned

The warm weather is here, with a high today of 82 under sunny skies. Some patchy fog is possible before 9 a.m. Calm wind will become southwest at 5-9 mph in the morning.

A mostly clear night will have a low of 59, with south wind at 3-5 mph.

Depending on what forecast you hear or see, the high Wednesday could be up to 86 degrees. The National Weather Service says 84, which is plenty hot enough for the third week in October. Skies will be sunny, with a southwest wind. The low will be 61, with a little wind.

Thursday will be very warm, too, with a high of 82, though some forecasts predict 84-86. It will be sunny with south wind picking up in the afternoon to 5-7 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers moves in after 3 a.m. The low will be 59.

The chance of showers Friday is 30 percent, with most falling between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. It will be partly sunny and noticeably cooler, with a high of 71. The low will be 46.

Saturday will be cooler yet, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 64. The low will be a chilly 43.

Sunday warms a bit under sunny skies, to a high of 68. The low will be 45.

Monday should be sunny, too, with a high of 71.
