Every Crosby Scholar in grades six through 11 is required to attend one academy workshop. This fall’s upcoming program and academy dates include:

• For ninth- and tenth-graders, academies will be held at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s north campus on the following Saturdays: Oct. 8, Oct. 15 and Nov. 5, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Students should utilize their portal to sign up to attend one of these sessions at my.crosbyscholars.org.

• An optional three-session SAT bootcamp for junior and senior Crosby Scholars will be offered during the ninth and tenth grade academies on Oct. 8, Oct. 15 and Nov. 5. There is a $20 refundable fee for these three sessions. Scholars should sign up via their portals.

• For 11th-graders, a make-up academy will be held on Oct. 31 , from 10 a.m. to noon in the Randy Hemann Room at 225 N. Main St. This is the last opportunity for juniors to meet their academy requirement. Students should utilize their portal to sign up to attend this session at my.crosbyscholars.org.

• For seventh- and eighth-graders, the first academy of the school year will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s north campus. Additional academies for this age group will occur on Jan. 7, 2017 and Jan. 28, 2017. Students should utilize their portal to sign up to attend one of these sessions at my.crosbyscholars.org.

In addition to academy workshops, all ninth and tenth grade Crosby Scholars are invited to attend a college tour of UNC-Charlotte on Oct. 31. Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited, and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations should be made through the student portal at my.crosbyscholars.org.
