Erica Parsons’ remains have been found, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s office.
In a news release Thursday night, the sheriff’s office announced that investigators from multiple agencies had recovered skeletal remains of a young girl confirmed to be Parsons. She has been missing for several years, but was first reported missing in July 2013.
Parsons was reportedly found in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
In August 2016, investigators received leads that confirmed that Parsons was “more than likely deceased.” Investigators from multiple agencies recovered Parsons’ remains on Tuesday, according to the news release
The family has been notified, the sheriff’s office said.
Next week, a press conference will be held to release more details about the the investigation.
