SALISBURY — The Rowan County Literacy Council has just completed a workshop for new tutors. The workshop was conducted by trainers Cindy DeLorenzo, Carolyn Myers, Helen Peacock and Donna Hahn.

The training is for people who would like to help others improve their reading skills or to teach English as a Second Language to foreign-born residents.

Tutors completing the course were Catherine Costello, Ray Costello, Amie Goodman, Rusty Shuping, Chris Verner and Susan Wydner.
