Rowan weather: More storms tonight?

Last night’s storm caused some damage around the county, downing trees. Today, the chance of rain will be mostly after 5 p.m.

Patchy fog is possible until 10 a.m., then it will be mostly cloudy and 80. Calm wind will become southwest around 5 mph this afternoon.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight is 60 percent, with a tenth to quarter inch of rain, possibly higher in thunderstorms.

The showers and storms will continue at least until midnight, with fog between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. The low will be 62, with calm wind and the same 60 percent chance of rain.

Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high of 79. The chance of showers and storms is 40 percent. Calm wind will become south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Another tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday night’s chance of rain is just 30 percent, with a low of 58 and light and variable wind.

For Thursday, we’ll have a 30 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. It will be mostly sunny and 76. Wind will come from the north at 5 mph in the afternoon. Thursday night’s chance of rain is 20 percent, with a low of 53.

Friday should be mostly sunny and 74, with another low of 53.

Saturday will be sunny and 76, with a low of 55.

Sunday will be sunny and 79, with a low of 57.

And Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 79 again.
