Chamber’s Total Resource Campaign exceeds goal

SALISBURY — The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce announced that its Total Resource Campaign brought in $72,626 total investments vs. a goal of $70,000, for 4 percent over goal for 2016.

“We are proud of all our volunteers who worked so hard in the campaign. Through their dedicated efforts, they helped make a great chamber even greater.” said Tim Norris, vice president of Healthcare Management Consultants and chair-elect of the Rowan Chamber.

Sponsors of the campaign were Walmart and Cloninger Ford/Toyota.

The top producer was Teresa Dakins (Trinity at Home), who had 13,945 points. She won a vacation package valued at over $2,500.

Other top producers were: Wendy Roueche (F&M Bank), second place; Sherry Wilson Boyd (CHS Northeast), third place; Ken Mowery (Novant Health Rowan Medical Center), fourth place; and, Nicole Holmes Matangira (Matangira Recycling), fifth place. All volunteers won prizes donated by chamber member firms.

The top team was “Team USA – Eagles” led Team Captain Sherry Wilson Boyd.

Campaign volunteers brought in 68 new members to date; however, the deadline for 2017 directory and new member perks has been extended until Fri., Sept. 23.
