East Rowan coaches John Fitz and Brett Hatley painted the initials of Taylor Kirk, a June graduate who died on Sunday from a blood infection, on the field for last night’s JV game. Kirk was a three-time state champion in the wheelchair shot put. Taylor’s family said that she “was an inspiration to all who knew her.”
